Corporate advertisement “CHOYA QUALITY” ep. (30 sec.)

Performer
Koji Seto
Filming location
Kanagawa Prefecture

Episode story

CHOYA highly values “artificial additive-free” manufacturing. In order to convey that philosophy, in this commercial we depict Koji Seto enjoying the delicious taste of ume – a real gift of nature. Pour Umeshu, add the ume fruit, and then slowly taste it. We chose to express this scene using ultra-high speed photography, exactly 2000 frames per second. Since 2000 frames are shot per second, the timing of facial expressions and gestures is very difficult. However, Mr. Seto immediately understood both the director’s plan and the camera movements, showing great concentration and a wonderful performance from the very first take. Also, there is a scene where the ume being dropped in the glass, the liquid unintentionally splashes from the glass with too much momentum. A bit surprised, Mr. Seto was almost laughing in embarrassment. The slight feeling of tension on the set with Mr. Seto’s friendly smiles made the shoot even more pleasant and memorable.

The CHOYA Non Alcohol

The CHOYA Non Alcohol

Non-alcoholic Umeshu.

When creating the non-alcoholic version of our authentic Umeshu, we focused on the components such as the Ume pit. By making micro powder out of the real seed of the Nanko-Ume fruit and blending it with the same ingredients except alcohol, we achieve the taste like the authentic Umeshu. No artificial additives such as acidulants, flavourings or colourings are used.
Enjoy a mellow and gorgeous aroma with a rich and full-bodied taste.
